Who were those men wearing the San Francisco uniforms on the field at Candlestick Park Sunday afternoon? They had to be imposters! They certainly weren’t the same team I saw in person against Green Bay on September 8.
Against Seattle last weekend, SF looked like they were trying hard to work their way down the field, but just couldn’t get past the Seahawks’ defense. This week, against the Indianapolis Colts, they just looked sloppy, especially the defense. Play after play, the defenders couldn’t quickly get a hand on the Colts players. In similar situations against Green Bay, the Niners defense stopped the Packers in their tracks.
San Francisco plays again Thursday night. With a short practice week, I don’t know if they have enough time to work through their problems.
(By the way, I’m not happy that the NFL has started their own cable channel and shows all the Thursday games there. Only a few cable systems carry the channel right now.)
